Tomato Salsa Recipe

Tomato Salsa Recipe Ingredients:

  • Red Onions – 2 cups (finely chopped)
  • Ripe Tomatoes – 2 cups
  • Green Chilies – ½ cup
  • Minced Fresh Cilantro – ½ cup
  • Coriander Leaves – ½ cup
  • Lime Juice – ½ cup
  • Black Pepper Powder – ¼ cup
  • Dried Oregano – a pinch
  • Ground Cumin Powder– a pinch
  • Red Chili Powder – ¼ cup
  • Garlic Cloves – 1 clove
  • Hot Pepper Sauce – 1 tsp.
  • Green Bell Pepper – 2 cups
  • Jalapeno Pepper – 2 cups
  • Salt – as per taste

Note: You can use other peppers and spice powders if you prefer spicier dip.

Tomato Salsa Recipe Steps:

Pre-Preparation:

  • Remove the seeds and chop green bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, and the green chilies.
  • Finely chop the onions.
  • Rinse, Wash and Chop Coriander Leaves and Cilantro leaves.
  • Chop Tomatoes :
    • Make an “X” mark on the tomato bottom.
    • Take the thick-bottom deep cooking casseroles.
    • Fill the water almost 2/3rd its quantity.
    • Bring the water to the boiling point.
    • Place tomatoes in the boiled water, at a time.
    • Let them boil for a minute.
    • Remove tomatoes from the casserole and place it in ice cool water.
    • Discard the skin of tomatoes. Peel it off.
    • Dice chop the tomatoes.

Note: You can use the food processor in place of chopping board.

Preparation:

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix the finely chopped onions with the roughly chopped tomatoes.
  • Now, combine the chopped green bell peppers and jalapeno peppers. Also, add the green chilies.
  • Mix the chopped coriander leaves and the cilantro leaves.
  • Sprinkle the grounded cumin powder, black pepper powder, and the red chili powder.
  • Add the grated garlic cloves and jalapeno peppers.
  • Squeeze lime juice and check for taste. If required add more.
  • Mix the ingredients to blend their taste and flavors well with each other.
  • Cover the bowl with the plastic wrap and refrigerate it before serving the dip.
  • Season the chilled tomato salsa dip with chopped leaves.

And the tangy Tomato Salsa sauce is ready to be dipped in!

Note: Add salt only if you feel the unbalance in seasoning.
