Mango Salsa Recipe

Mango Salsa Recipe Ingredients:

  • Ripe Mangoes – 1 cup
  • Red Onions – ¼ cup
  • Jalapeno – ¼ cup
  • Cucumber – ¼ cup
  • Red Bell Pepper – ¼ cup
  • Green Chillies – ½ cup
  • Cilantro Leaves – ¼ cup
  • Cumin Powder – ¼ tsp.
  • Black Pepper Powder – ¼ tsp.
  • Red Chilli Powder – ¼ tsp.
  • Lime Juice – ½ cup
  • Salt – 3 tbsp.

Note: Whichever type of Mangoes you use, get the sweet and ripe. You can use any other fresh herbs if you want.

Mango Salsa Recipe Steps:

It is a very simple and easy to make salsa sauce. For the best results, get the perfectly ripe mangoes. Follow the instructions and make the mango salsa sauce.

Pre-Preparation:

  • Remove the seeds and slice chop the red peppers and the green chillies.
  • Wash the onions, jalapenos, cucumber, and cilantro leaves. Finely chop them.
  • Wash the mangoes. Peel off their skin and chop them into small cubes.
  • There is a firm and strong pit in the center of the mango. (Pit is flat and similar to oblong shape).
  • You have to chop the mangoes in the small cubes. You would need to separate the flesh from the pit and cut the sides of the pit.
  • Take the knife, remove the upper mango cover and also cut the downside of the pit.
  • Hold mango straight, keep a cut and slide it down.
  • Cut the mango into three pieces, in which two are halves and one would be the section having the pit.
  • With the knife, make the lengthwise and crosswise cuts. Peel out the segments.
  • Keep the bowl of mangoes aside. Keep it in the fridge to cool.

Note: Use chopping board. You can also roughly chop the cilantro leaves. It’s easy to dice a mango which is perfectly ripe, i.e. it is still a bit firm but not too soft.

Preparation:

  • Take a large mixing bowl and transfer the cooled chopped mangoes.
  • To this bowl, add the finely chopped onions and the chopped red bell pepper with some chopped cilantro leaves and other fresh herb leaves.
  • Now add some chopped cucumber and jalapenos in this mixture.
  • Add in the green chillies with the spice powders like black pepper powder, red chili powder, and cumin powder.
  • Squeeze in the lime juice and check for the taste. If your feel the sourness is missing, then add more.
  • Season the mixture with either rock salt or regular salt.
  • Mix well and fold the ingredient with a spoon so that their flavours blend with each other.
  • Wrap the bowl with the plastic and keep it in the fridge to cool.
