Fruit Raita Recipe

Fruit Raita Recipe Ingredients:

  • Apple – ¼ cup
  • Pineapple – ¼ cup
  • Banana – ¼ cup
  • Mango – ¼ cup
  • Strawberry – ¼ cup
  • Pomegranate Seeds – 1 cup
  • Yogurt – 2 cups
  • Black Pepper- ¼ tsp.
  • Cumin Powder – ¼ tsp.
  • Coriander Leaves – ½ cup
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp.
  • Salt – as per taste.

Note: You may use any other fruit available or even skip any of the above mentioned. You can also use frozen or canned fruits.

If you are health conscious, then it is recommended for you to use fresh low-fat curds for this recipe of fruit Raita.

Also make sure that the pineapple you are using for this recipe is not sour. If you are diabetic, then you can avoid the addition of sugar if the pineapple is sweet enough.

Fruit Raita Recipe Steps:

Pre-Preparation:

  • Chop Apple: Wash apple, peel of its skin and chop it.
  • Chop Pineapple: Wash and trim straight across the bottom. Slice the sides, cut outer skin and inner spikes.
  • Chop Banana: Peel the banana. Start cutting it breadth-wise.
  • Chop Ripe Mango: Wash and peel off the skin. Give an arc and cut into pieces.
  • Chop Strawberry: Wash and peel of the green top. Place and give a cut.
  • Chop Coriander Leaves: Wash and rinse the leaves. Finely chop.
  • Pomegranate Seeds: Slice the pomegranate and take out the seeds.

Note: Chop all the fruits in cube shape. Use chopping board for better results.

Preparation:

  • Take a mixing bowl and transfer 2 cups of yogurt in it.
  • Now beat the curd until it take smooth and creamy texture.
  • Add sugar, black pepper and cumin powder.
  • Whisk well and add pinch of salt.
  • Now add all the chopped fruits like apple, pineapple, strawberry, and pomegranate seeds.
  • Again mix well so that the ingredients blend with themselves and submerge in the curd.
  • Wrap the bowl with a plastic foil and keep it in refrigerator to cool for half an hour.
  • Now keep checking the fridge.
  • When the Raita is chilled, take it out to the serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves.
