Salted Lassi Recipe

Salted Lassi Recipe Ingredients:

  • Thick Yogurt/ Yogurt – 2 ½ cup
  • Mint Leaves – ¼ cup (6 to 7 leaves)
  • Chaat Masala – ¼ tsp.
  • Ginger Juice – ¼ tsp.
  • Cumin Powder – 1 ½ tsp.
  • Water – 1  cup
  • Ice Cubes – ¼ cup (3 to 4 cubes)
  • Rock Salt – ¼ tsp.
  • Black Salt – 1 tsp.

Note: You may also use either of coriander leaves or mint leaves. You can substitute rock salt with normal salt or black salt.

Salted Lassi Recipe Steps:

Pre-Preparation:

  • Make Ginger Juice: If you want to make ginger Juice at home, then take the fresh gingers. Grate them with a finer grater or a zester which gives you fine chopped slices of ginger. Then, squeeze these grated gingers with your hands to get the juice.
  • Cumin Powder: If you don’t cumin powder, then dry roast the cumin seeds. Take the heavy skillet and roast the cumin seeds over medium flame till they become crispy and brown. Keep stirring them and avoid from burning them. Once they start to release aroma, transfer them to mortal pestle and transform into the powder form. Take this cumin powder to a small bottle and store it.
  • Chill the yogurt.
  • Prepare Ice-cubes.

Note: There is no need to refrigerate the yogurt if it is already chilled. Same manner, you can use directly take out ice cubes from the fridge for use.

Preparation:

  • Take the yogurt in a bowl and whisk at a medium pace.
  • Beat the yogurt till it achieves a smooth texture.
  • To this bowl, add the ginger juice and chilled water.
  • Add a pinch of both black salt and rock salt. Now check the taste.
  • Sprinkle the dry spice powder such as Chaat masala and cumin powder.
  • Stir the mixture and add salt as per taste.
  • Blend the ingredients with a whisk.
  • Pour the Lassi in a large glass.
  • Season the top with mint leaves.
