Baby Corn Manchurian Recipe

Baby Corn Manchurian Recipe Ingredients:

  • Baby Corn – 12 pieces
  • Corn Flour – ½ cup
  • Onion – 1 cup
  • Capsicum – 1 cup
  • Green Chilies – ½ tsp.
  • Cilantro Leaves – ½ tbsp.
  • Spring Onion – 1 cup
  • Red Chili Powder – ½ tsp
  • Red Chili Sauce – 1 ½ tsp
  • Soya Sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger – 1 tsp.
  • Garlic – 1 tsp.
  • Flour – 4 tbsp.
  • Oil – 2 tbsp.
  • Salt – as per taste

Note: It is recommended to use all-purpose flour and Saffola Oil.

Baby Corn Manchurian Recipe Steps:

Pre-Preparation:

  1. Make the ginger-garlic paste.
  2. Finely Chop Onions, Spring Onions, Capsicums and Coriander Leaves.
  3. Make the batter: In a large mixing bowl, mix the flours along with spices and paste.
  4. Dissolve Flour: Take a bowl of water and dissolve the corn flour it. Let it rest for some time.

Take the bowl, add corn flour and the all-purpose flour. With the sufficient amount of water, add corns and sprinkle red chili powder, mixing with ginger-garlic paste. Knead the dough well, make cylindrical balls and keep it aside.

Note: You may also buy ginger-garlic paste instead of making it. The corns should be evenly coated with the flour batter.

Preparation:

  1. Take the frying pan, and heat oil over the medium flame till the bubbles form. Then deep fry the cylindrical dumplings. Flip and fry from both the sides till they form golden crispy and crunchy outer layer.
  2. Take a non-stick pan and heat the ginger-garlic paste. When the paste melts and spreads broadly over the pan, add onions. Sauté the pan till the onions become brown in color and fry some chilies in along with the capsicum.
  3. Now it’s the time to drizzle the sauces in the pan with some red chili powder to add on the flavor of spice. Let the mixture fry in the pan over high flame for couple of minutes. Then mix the fried corn dumplings. Sprinkle the chopped coriander and the spring onion. Mix the ingredients well.
  4. To the make the mixture juicy, we will use the dissolved corn flour water. Sprinkle the water from the bowl to the pan.
  5. Squeeze ½ tbsp of lime juice for the tangy taste.

And the Baby Corn Manchurian are ready to Chow. Serve Hot.

Note: Keep the measure for water and corn flour properly to avoid sogginess. Always serve the Manchurian hot and warm otherwise they will lose their charm.
