Sweet Corn Salad Recipe Ingredients:

  • Sweet Corns – 2 cups
  • Green Bell Pepper – 1 cup
  • Red Bell Pepper – 1 cup
  • Spring Onions – 1 cup
  • Tomatoes – 1 cup
  • Basil Leaves – ½ cup
  • Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp.
  • Lime Juice – 1 tsp.
  • Olive Oil – ¼ cup.
  • Cider Vinegar – ½ tbsp.
  • Black Pepper – less than ½ tsp.
  • Honey – ¼ tsp.
  • Mustard Powder – ½ tsp.
  • Salt – as per taste

Sweet Corn Salad Recipe Steps:


  • Chop all the veggies in small cubes.
  • Heat salted water over a medium flame and bring to boiling point.
  • In the pot of warm water, add the corn and cook till tender.
  • Once the starchiness is gone, immediately pull out of water.
  • Soak into the bowl of cold water and let the chilled water run through them.
  • Cut the kernels of the corn cubs and individually pluck the corns.

Note: If you are using frozen corns, then directly thaw them.

You can also pressure cook the sweet corns in the pressure cooker or the electrical cooker. But, at times the sweetcorn’s might lose their sweetness when they are boiled in the pressure cooker.

If you want to steam the corns, then keep a bowl of water to heat. Place a sieve dilate over the bowl of heated water on a stove. Add the corns to this plate and cover the plate with a lid. Allow the corns to steam for 10 to 15 minutes.

Whichever way you prepare corns, either you steam them or pressure cook or boil, their sweetness will remain intact.


  • In a large bowl, combine all the chopped veggies.
  • Whisk Basil leaves in the salad.
  • Then squeeze lemon juice over it.
  • Add a pinch of custard powder over the salad.
  • Drizzle the mixture with the Honey, Olive Oil and Vinegar.
  • Sprinkle sea salt and pepper with pinch of hand and give a toss.
